Your reservation has been made with Ursula Jones, trading as Somerton Guest House and represents a legally binding contract between you and the guesthouse.

A deposit equivalent to that of a 1 night stay is required upon placing your booking. This can be paid by debit or credit card and is non-refundable. Failure to receive this deposit will result in room/s being re-let.

  • Full settlement of your stay to be paid on arrival.
  • We accept Cash, Debit cards and Most Major Credit Cards.
  • If you wish to pay by American Express, Diners Club, and Business payment
  • cards, this is acceptable with a surcharge of 3% to cover our costs.

Any variation or cancellation of your contract must be done by mutual agreement between the guest(s) and the Guest House. Failure to arrive on the day, whatever the reason will result in full payment being taken from your debit /credit card for the full booking reservation without further permission.
We also reserve the right to impose a minimum two day stay at weekends, in high season and Bank Holidays.
Please note we do not take Stag or Hen Parties

Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your reservation we reserve the right to charge your debit / credit card based on the following time scales: Over 1 calendar months’ notice – deposit only, 14 – 30 days’ notice – 50% of total cost. Less than 14 Days’ notice – Full Cost
For reasons stated above, we strongly advise all guests to take out their own personal holiday Insurance.

Non Availability
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to yourself, we would refund all monies paid by you in full. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Loss & Damages Etc.
By entering into your booking contract you are authorising us to charge your debit / credit card for any losses, or damages that may occur during your stay with us at the Somerton Guest House without any consent being required.

Liability
Somerton Guest House Does Not accept any Liability for damage, loss or injury to any member of your party, vehicle’s or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

On Arrival
Check in time is usually from 4 p.m. until 7.30pm but where flexibility is needed please call us on 01502 565665 and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.

Day Of Departure
Please vacate your room by 10.30am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.

Keys
Upon your arrival, and after you have completed a registration form, you will be given a set of keys which will give you access to the front door and your room. Lost keys should be reported to us immediately and replacement keys will be charged for, at the current rate of £150. In the event that your keys aren’t returned at the end of your stay then the cost of replacing locks and producing a new set of keys will be charged for.

Smoking
Somerton Guest House is strictly NON SMOKING we reserve the right to terminate immediately the stay of any guest found to be smoking in the Guest House without liability for any refund or compensation. We also reserve the right to make an extra charge equivalent to a night for the cleaning of the room and a charge will also be made for any damage caused.

Although the building is strictly non-smoking, we do have two areas reserved for smokers within the exterior boundaries of the property. These will be discussed with you upon arrival.

Unacceptable Behaviour
Somerton Guest House reserve the right to terminate your booking immediately without being liability for any compensation, when you engage in unacceptable behaviour that may cause a disturbance or nuisance to other guests in the house.

Data
Any data information gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer. At no time will your information be shared with a third party.
